In 2025 a Dynamic Positioning System incorporating autonomous functions (berthing and unberthing etc.) on a training ship for a maritime college. Demonstration trials were conducted and the was delivered to the shipowner. The Dynamic Positioning System has some functions which enable remote monitoring and maneuvering control. The Toba-Maru is expected to contribute to education related to the systematization of ship maneuvering control in future maritime training. Furthermore, as autonomous functions continue to be developed and put into practical use, we plan to add new functions and provide updates on an ongoing basis.
