The Red BEAM (Mid-Atlantic Test Beds Network) project, under the Interreg MAC 2021–2027 program and led by PLOCAN, aims to strengthen a distributed network of ocean testing infrastructures for advancing uncrewed maritime navigation. It leverages ICTS-PLOCAN’s capabilities in autonomous marine vehicles and its open-ocean test site facility to support validation, certification and operational integration. The initiative aligns with Spain’s national working group on unmanned vessels, led by the Directorate General of the Merchant Marine (DGMM), fostering regulatory readiness, interoperability and innovation uptake across the Mid-Atlantic region.
