Automated mooring and charging maximization

Atlantic Stage
Exhibitor presentations on the Atlantic Stage – Day 2
When charging electric vessels or supplying shore power to reduce emissions once alongside, the time required to moor the vessel can have a major impact. Automated mooring provides a 100% safe method to moor and release a vessel in seconds. This means charging can be at a lower power, or more energy can be transferred for the same schedule, or a combination of both. For shore power, the power can be connected sooner, allowing the vessel engines to shut down sooner and the tugs to depart, reducing emissions at mooring by 94%.
