Gothenburg is taking a major step toward zero‑emission commuter transportation, and Cavotec is proud to be at the heart of this transformation. Styrsöbolaget, in cooperation with Metstech and Ö-Varvet, has selected Cavotec to deliver the plug-in Megawatt Charger (MCS) level 3 for its new fleet of electric ferries – an ambitious project that brings reliable, high‑performance e‑vessel charging to the city’s busy river routes. Across Klippan and Lindholmen, Cavotec has provided seven charging plugs, each equipped with 8m cables, plug‑and‑play interfaces and a rugged aluminum design built for demanding maritime operations. The system ensures fast, dependable charging that keeps vessels on schedule.
