Defining charging infrastructure for vessel operations

Exhibitor presentations on the Atlantic Stage – Day 2
As vessel operators move toward zero-emission services, charging infrastructure is becoming a critical part of operational reliability. On high-frequency routes, energy transfer must happen safely and consistently within short docking windows, often in environments shaped by water, salt, ice and vessel movement. This presentation explains why maritime electrification requires charging infrastructure designed around vessel operations, not the other way around. Drawing on real-world wireless charging applications, it will show how contactless shore-to-ship charging can reduce operational friction and turn energy transfer into a seamless, automated part of the docking process for zero-emission vessel operations.
