Panel Discussion: From grid to quay: How ports actually electrify

Exhibitor presentations on the Atlantic Stage – Day 2
Can we move from pilot projects to high-performance charging ecosystems? And more importantly, can both sides stop pointing fingers and start making it work? Maritime electrification is advancing, but the real test lies in charging and infrastructure performance. While companies are deploying vessels and technologies, ports are working to deliver reliable, high-power charging systems under real operational conditions. This panel brings together ports and private sector leaders to examine how charging infrastructure projects are progressing today: what is actually being deployed, how systems are performing in practice, and where gaps remain. From grid capacity and integration to permitting and scalability, the discussion will focus on what is needed to move from pilot projects to reliable, high-performance charging ecosystems and how both sides can align to make electrification work at scale.
