Exhibitor presentations on the Rhine Stage – Day 2
The UniShip design concept has been developed by senior naval architect Magdy Shehata after 40 years' experience in the international maritime industry. The main objective is to design a versatile, resilient and future-ready container ship that can expand its market, eliminate unnecessary ballast voyages, reduce cargo vulnerability, increase ship utilization and deliver higher returns with less environmental impact. UniShip can combine several of the functions of specialized ships to expand its market, reducing fleet investment. By an efficient, innovative, integrated autonomous cargo handling system, UniShip can access more ports. Auto securing of containers adds more advantage. UniShip is configured for possible autonomous operation.
