Bionic Design Meets Advanced Casting
This bionic structure, which was designed by IAMT and
manufactured by us, ACTech, has achieved a 20% weight
reduction and more than 200% higher stiffness compared to conventional designs,
using advanced sand casting. The component places material only where needed, delivering dramatically improved performance under realistic
load conditions without sacrificing strength.
Manufacturing such complex bionic shapes is demanding, but
sand casting offers the ideal balance between efficiency and precision. Cast prototypes produced this way possess properties
comparable to series production components, enabling faster availability of
test-ready parts.
The practical benefits are threefold: higher efficiency at
the component level, reduced material usage, and accelerated development
