Benny Mestemaker is a senior research specialist in the knowledge development centre of Royal IHC. He has been involved in several projects regarding the integration of alternative fuels and new prime movers in drive systems of highly transient loaded applications. These projects include the application of among others LNG, methanol, ammonia and hydrogen in internal combustion engines and fuel cells, the hybridisation of drive systems with energy storage systems and the application of exhaust gas after treatment, carbon capture and storage technology and waste heat recovery systems.
