Lieke began her international career as an international MISE trainee at A.P. Møller-Mærsk Group, where she gained experience in the operation of a large global player in the shipping industry. Today, she works as a strategic advisor on digital governance, cybersecurity and policy implementation in complex and highly regulated industries. Her expertise focuses on the intersection of innovation and technology, legal compliance, operational resilience and strategic decision-making. Lieke specializes in European cyber legislation and governance frameworks (including NIS2, ISO27001, AI governance and board-level digital oversight). She is particularly known for translating complex regulatory and technological challenges into clear governance structures, policies and decision-making processes that are both practical and implementable. She advises large organizations in vital sectors and critical infrastructure on digital transformation, cyber governance, digital policies and responsible technology adoption. As a keynote speaker, moderator and advisor, Lieke shares her experienced perspective on digital governance: connecting strategy and legislation with operational reality.
