Nil is a business applications and partnerships officer at the European Space Agency (ESA), where he leads initiatives connecting the maritime and space sectors to drive innovation, safety and sustainability at sea. As maritime lead within ESA Space Solutions, he supports the development of commercially viable services using satellite technologies, including Earth observation, navigation and connectivity solutions for the maritime industry. With a background in aerospace and space systems engineering, Nil worked with European satellite manufacturers before joining ESA in 2016. He is recognized for building partnerships across industry, technology and policy networks, helping to accelerate digitalization, decarbonization and operational efficiency within the global maritime sector.
