Norbert studied extensively in both Malta and the UK, and his career began in 2000 with STMicroelectronics, where he spent over a decade gaining invaluable experience in a global semiconductor environment—an early period that also sparked his long-standing interest in hydrogen and energy innovation. In 2013, he transitioned to the public sector within the Government of Malta, contributing to key national initiatives, including high-level event logistics for Heads of Government meetings and the development of various policies. These experiences strengthened his ability to operate at the intersection of strategy, operations, and governance. and where in 2022 he project managed and coordinated the implementation of Malta’s Onshore Power Supply (Shore-to-Ship) project, delivering the required electrical infrastructure for cruise liners and establishing the ship-to-shore unit—an important step toward sustainable maritime operations. He is honoured to also serve as a Member of the Board of Directors at EOPSA, where I contribute to shaping the future of the energy and oil sector.
