Santiago is a research associate and PhD candidate at DLR Institute of Engineering Thermodynamics, leading the topic solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) drivetrain within the electrochemical high-temperature processes (EHT) group, focusing on development, transient simulation and module experiments. He led genset system engineering and proof of concept in the EU-funded project NAUTILUS (highly efficient SOFC/battery maritime genset) and is currently working on stack box experimental testing and transient simulation within the EU project HELENUS.
